The two Fiats, that were used by Pope Francis during his apostolic visit to Washington last September, were donated to the Archdiocese of Washington by Pope Francis and Fiat Chrysler.

In an ongoing effort to highlight the Holy Father’s emphasis on the charitable works of the Church and to celebrate the warm enthusiasm and excitement that welcomed the pope to Washington, one of the two Fiat 500Ls will be used over the next year to highlight the ministries, public service, community engagement and ongoing acts of mercy of the Archdiocese of Washington and its Catholic Charities across the archdiocese.

A generous donor has purchased the second Fiat 500L and funds will be given to Providence Hospital and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington.

Pope Francis arrives at Joint Base Andrews in Washington

Go out to the highways and byways, go out to tell the good news fearlessly, without prejudice, without superiority, without condescension, to all those who have lost the joy of living. Go out to proclaim the merciful embrace of the Father. – Pope Francis, September 23, 2015
